Morning Announcements

Seniors, please pay your senior class dues of $10 to Morgan Anspach as soon as possible.!

Valentine's Day is coming soon! The sophomores in Positivity Group are sponsoring flower grams. Carnations can be ordered for $1 at lunch. They are available in pink and red, and come with a personalized message. They will be delivered at lunch on Valentine's Day.

The Lincolnview junior varsity and varsity boys’ basketball team will play Arlington High School at Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, Indiana on Saturday, Feb 11. The JV game will tip off at 2:00 pm and the varsity game at approximately 3:30 pm. All tickets for the game are $10 and must be purchased at the door at Hoosier Gym using an Arlington HS ticket voucher. Lincolnview students interested in attending the Lincolnview vs Arlington game, can pick up a ticket voucher(s) in the Lincolnview High School Office during school hours Monday, Feb 6 and Tuesday, Feb 7. Only fans with the Arlington HS ticket voucher will be permitted to buy tickets at the door!

Students, if you are participating in the theme days, please turn your money into your first period teacher. Teachers, student council members will collect it during Lancer time.

Attention Seniors: The Josten representative will be here to deliver your Graduation order on Monday Feb. 27th before school in the LH. Your order must be paid in full – cash only at school. (no checks accepted)

You have until Lancer time today to enter a dodgeball team in the tournament to be held during Lancer time today. People who want to watch the tournament can pay $2.00.

Rivals United announcements

Tuesday, Feb. 7th:

DID YOU KNOW: Today is Purple Day in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness. Crisis Care Line and the YWCA of Van Wert both provide assistance to survivors and children in domestic or family violence. These organizations also work hard to bring awareness and education to our community. Tomorrow’s spirit theme is Pajama and Stuffed Animal Day!

Don’t forget to support your FFA Basketball and Wrestling Teams tonight as they play Crestview! A sponsorship for both activities will be awarded to the winning school and added to our Rivals United total raised.

Wednesday, Feb. 8th:

DID YOU KNOW: Today is Pajama and Stuffed Animal Day. The Van Wert County Humane Society receives funding from the United Way to assist with medical needs of the animals housed at the adoption center. Their primary focus is to advocate and care for the well-being of animals.These animals are often used as an emotional support for individuals within our community by helping reduce stress and anxiety. Tomorrow’s spirit theme is Career/College Day! 

Thursday, Feb. 9th:

DID YOU KNOW: Today is Career/College Day. The United Way funds many programs that aim to provide education throughout the community like Career Connections. Career Connections promote economic education, financial skills, and career readiness for Van Wert County students in grades 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8. Tomorrow’s spirit theme is Spirit/Sports Day! Dress up in your favorite team or school colors!

If you missed the College Credit Plus meeting,  Stop in to see Mrs. Leeth today to pick up the paperwork.  Or if you are currently doing college credit plus, please stop in to get the same paperwork because you must fill it out every year.

Van Wert Optimist Club Oratorical Contest is set for Sunday, Mar. 5, 2023 and the topic this year is, "Discovering the Optimism within Me."  The contest is open to all students under the age of 19 as Oct. 1, 2022. There is no minimum age to compete. Stop in the office to pick up information about the contest.

Attention Sophomores:  You will go to lunch at 11:15 today Friday. If you are visiting Construction Equipment Technology on Friday, YOU MUST WEAR A COAT. A hoodie will not work. A hat and gloves are also recommended. You will be outside for this lab and it will be cold.

Next week we will be holding a dodgeball tournament during Lancer time for Rivals United week. All teams have to be signed up by Lancer time on Monday. Teams will consist of 6 people on a team. Get with your friends and put together a team. Sign up in the high school library.

The college credit plus  meeting is rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 1st at 6:15 PM at the Van Wert Performing Arts Center.

Are you interested in the field of Pharmacy?  If so, the University of Findlay has two opportunities to get some hands on experiences.  Check your email for information or check out the flyers in the display case in the hallway.

The deadline to enter into the Rotary Speech contest is Wednesday. Tell Mrs. Leeth if you plan to enter the contest by Wednesday.
